HSE Supervisor – Net Zero Energy Project (UK)

Benedetto Global is currently hiring an experienced HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Supervisor on behalf of our client operating within the energy and industrial engineering sector. This role will support a major UK-based net zero power project, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental performance across all project activities.

Role Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and promoting HSE standards, ensuring compliance with UK legislation, and supporting a strong safety culture across multidisciplinary project teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies, procedures, and project standards
  • Conducting regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented
  • Promoting a proactive safety culture through training sessions, toolbox talks, and workforce engagement initiatives
  • Investigating incidents, near-misses, and safety concerns with thorough reporting and preventative follow-up
  • Coordinating with project stakeholders, clients, and principal contractors to ensure HSE compliance and best practices
  • Leading incident investigations and producing detailed reports with improvement recommendations
  • Ensuring all personnel are trained and competent in HSE procedures and emergency response protocols
  • Monitoring environmental impacts and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability objectives
  • Maintaining accurate HSE documentation, reporting, and compliance records
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project-wide HSE performance

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HSE Supervisor or similar role within oil & gas, energy, industrial, or major infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and CDM regulations
  • Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety excellence and environmental responsibility
