Benedetto Global is recruiting on behalf of a leading offshore drilling contractor for an experienced Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) to join their offshore operations in the United Arab Emirates.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced offshore professional with strong leadership capabilities and extensive drilling experience to oversee the safe, efficient and compliant operation of an offshore drilling installation.
Key Responsibilities
As the Offshore Installation Manager (OIM), you will be responsible for:
- Managing the overall operation and maintenance of the offshore drilling installation.
- Ensuring the safe and efficient execution of the operational drilling programme.
- Providing strong leadership and supervision to offshore personnel while promoting a positive safety culture.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, client requirements, industry regulations and statutory requirements.
- Protecting the health, safety and welfare of all personnel onboard.
- Coordinating emergency response procedures and maintaining a high level of operational readiness.
- Working closely with drilling, marine, maintenance and technical teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Monitoring operational performance and driving continuous improvement across the installation.
- Maintaining effective communication with onshore management and client representatives.
- Making sound operational decisions in a demanding offshore environment.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- A minimum of 10 years’ offshore drilling experience, including at least 5 years in a senior supervisory or management position.
- Previous experience as an Offshore Installation Manager (OIM).
- Extensive offshore drilling experience at a senior supervisory level.
- Experience working on Jack-up or other offshore drilling installations.
- STCW 95 II/2 Unlimited Master Certificate of Competency or equivalent qualification appropriate to the role.
- Valid Offshore Survival Certificate.
- Valid Offshore Medical Certificate.
- Strong knowledge of offshore drilling operations, marine operations, safety management and emergency response.
- Proven leadership and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively with multinational offshore teams.
- Previous experience in the Middle East / Gulf region would be advantageous.
