We are now hiring for an experienced Principal Process Engineer to support offshore and multi-disciplinary projects within this dynamic environment.
Role Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing process engineering services to ensure delivery in line with client requirements, statutory regulations and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage process engineering services to meet customer, statutory and regulatory specifications on time and within budget
- Lead and manage process engineering project requirements
- Participate in project meetings, prepare progress reports and comply with required checking procedures
- Ensure clarity of project scope and manage changes in accordance with project change management processes
- Provide technical support during procurement, construction and commissioning phases, including:
- Overseeing requisitions
- Conducting technical bid evaluations
- Supporting purchase order preparation
- Act as Process Engineering Lead on assigned projects
- Where leading a team:
- Define project requirements and promote effective workshare
- Assign tasks and supervise progress
- Ensure compliance with technical, statutory and budgetary requirements
- Resolve discrepancies between client and project requirements proactively
- Stay up to date with technical innovations and industry developments
- Support and mentor junior engineers where required
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Identify technical challenges and implement practical solutions
Qualifications
- Recognised and relevant Engineering degree
- Strong experience in offshore projects (essential)
- Excellent knowledge of fundamental process engineering principles
- Good understanding of multidisciplinary engineering requirements
- Strong knowledge of local and international statutory and regulatory standards
- Competent in MS Office Suite and relevant process engineering software
- Extensive practical experience in process engineering within a similar industry
- Experience working on multi-disciplinary projects and within collaborative teams
